Tour and explore

1st day: Palermo
Arrival at the airport. Welcome of the group and transfer to the hotel. Free time. In the evening welcome cocktail and presentation of the tour with a short briefing. Dinner and accommodation.

2nd day: Palermo – Monreale
After breakfast, guided tour of Palermo: historical centre, Cathedral, Palatian Chapel and the Church of San Giovanni degli Eremiti. In the afternoon onwards to Monreale. Visit of the Cloister and the Cathedral. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

3rd day: Cefalù – Tindari – Messina – Taormina
After breakfast, drive along the Tyrrhenian coast. Stop in Cefalù, a pleasant resort well known for its beautiful Norman Cathedral and medieval washhouse built in solid rock. Proceed to Tindari. Break for lunch. Visit the Black Madonna and the archeological site. Continue to Messina,  visit the Cathedral and see the animated figures of the mechanical clock, the largest in the world. Continue to Taormina. In the surroundings accommodation at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

4th day: Mount Aetna – Taormina
After breakfast, excursion to Europe’s most active volcano, Mount Aetna, going up to 1800m.  where the silvestri craters can be admired. It is possible to continue the journey by jeep up to the permitted height. Stop for lunch. In the afternoon depart to Taormina; visit the Greek Theater and enjoy time at leisure for shopping or walking through the tiny streets. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

5th day: Syracuse – Catania
After breakfast departure to Syracuse. Guided tour through the antique ruins: the Greek theatre, the Latomia and the Roman Amphitheatre. In the afternoon onwards to Catania. During the city tour you see the Cathedral, the big stone elephant, the Piazza del Duomo, the Church of San Nicolò and the Benedictine Cloister. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

6th day: Piazza Armerina – Agrigento
After breakfast in the morning excursion to the charming little town of Piazza Armerina and visit the splendid Roman villa known as "Del Casale", famous for its mosaics.  Departure for Agrigento. Arrival at hotel, settle in and dinner. After dinner will enjoy a special "by night" walk of the Temples valley.

7th day: Agrigento – Segesta – Palermo
Breakfast at hotel followed by tour of the fascinating Temples Valley that testifies, dramatically, to Agrigento’s glorious past. Akragas was besieged and set on fire by the Carthaginians. The Romans took it in 210 BC and renamed it Agrigentum. Lunch at hotel. In the afternoon continuation to Segesta and visit to Doric Temple, building of extraordinarily harmonious proportions is one of the most perfectly preserved monuments to survive from Antiquity hort visit. Further on to Palermo or surroundings accommodation at the hotel, dinner and overnight.

8th day: Departure
After breakfast departure and end of our services.
